By using 2gether, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using our platform.
2. Who We Are
2gether is the Data Controller responsible for how your personal data is processed. We may use third-party services (e.g. Firebase, analytics tools, hosting providers) who act as Data Processors on our behalf.
3. What Data We Collect
We may collect the following categories of personal data:

Profile Data: Name, email, date of birth, profile image, social media links (if you provide them).

Activity Data: Events you join, 2gethers you create or participate in, messages you send, and content you post.

Device & Technical Data: IP address, device type, browser version, and app version.

Location Data: When using the app, we may access your device’s current location (with your permission) to suggest nearby 2gethers and events.

Third-Party Data: If you connect social accounts, we may access information you have made available (e.g. name, profile picture).

Tracking Data: We use tools such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, and Meta Pixel to understand how users interact with the platform.

Guest users don’t provide personal data, but may view limited user-generated content.
We do not currently collect sensitive data, but may in future (e.g. gender identity, accessibility needs). If we do, this policy will be updated accordingly.
4. How We Use Your Data

5. Messaging & Group Communication

Messages and group chats are not fully private — participants can see each other’s messages.

We may scan chats flagged for abuse or safety risks using automated or manual moderation.

You are responsible for the content you share.
6. Meetups & Real-Life Interactions
2gether enables real-world meetups, but we do not screen users or verify identities.
By participating, you acknowledge:

You interact with others at your own risk.

We are not liable for what happens during meetups, including personal harm, harassment, or disputes.
7. Data Retention & Deletion

Inactive accounts may be deleted after 12 months.

Chat content and activity logs may be stored for up to 30 days for moderation and safety purposes.

Guest users do not have accounts, so no personal data is stored unless they sign up.

If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data. However:

Content shared in group spaces or 2gethers may remain visible to others.

We may retain anonymised analytics for research and product improvement.
